Workfirst (WVC)

Service Description:

Workfirst is a program in partnership with DSHS and WVC. You might be eligible for educational funding
such as tuition and books and academic assistance while you pursue a professional or technical program at
WVC.

Support services such as tutoring, career advising, life skills workshops, college success classes, and work
study jobs are also available for eligible students.

Minimum Eligibility:

  • Washington State resident
  • Been referred by DSHS
  • Pursuing or planning to pursue a professional/ technical degree or certificate or enrolled in High School 21+

If customers answer “yes” to any of the following questions, they may possibly be a good fit for our
services:

  • Do you need assistance with funding for tuition or books
  • Do you need academic assistance such as tutoring
