Basic Food, Employment & Training Grant (WVC)

Service Description:

Eligible students may receive help with tuition, books, food benefits, childcare assistance and help paying
for other needs related to employment and training goals.

Support services such as tutoring, career advising, college success classes, and possible emergency
assistance are also part of the BFET program.

Minimum Eligibility:

  • Washington State resident
  • Pursuing or planning to pursue a professional/technical degree or certificate or High School 21+ diploma
  • Collecting federal Basic Food (SNAP) benefits from DSHS or would like to be
  • Not collecting Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) through DSHS
