Basic Food, Employment, Training – BFET (CDCAC)

Service Description:

Provides employment readiness/retention opportunities to Basic Food (SNAP) recipients who are not
participating in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. Can provide support services
such as transportation assistance, purchasing work clothes, personal hygiene items and housing assistance if
necessary to obtain/maintain employment.

Minimum Eligibility:

  • Receiving Basic Food Assistance (SNAP)
  • Age 16 or older
  • Able to work at least 20 hours per week
  • Not receiving TANF

  • Do you need assistance with obtaining/maintaining employment?
  • Do you receive Basic Food Assistance (SNAP) through DSHS?
