AmeriCorps (CDCAC)

Recruits and places full-time volunteers as AmeriCorps members in schools, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant counties to meet a wide variety of critical community needs.

Service Description:

  • Becoming an AmeriCorps member offers many benefits during the service term such as:
  • Student loan deferment
  • Skills and training
  • Living allowance
  • Health benefit options
  • Education Award upon completion of service to help pay for college, graduate school, or vocational training, or to repay student loans
  • Career opportunities with leading employers from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors

Minimum Eligibility:

  • Must be 18 and older
  • US Citizen or lawful permanent resident
  • Must be willing to participate in a background check and fingerprinting

  • Would you like to receive a living stipend while serving the community, and possibly an education award at the end of your service?
  • Can you commit to serving 40 hours/week for 10+ months?
  • Are you interested in full-time volunteer service in nonprofits, schools, and/or government agencies?
  • Would you like to learn new skills?
