Recruits and places full-time volunteers as AmeriCorps members in schools, nonprofit organizations, and government agencies in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant counties to meet a wide variety of critical community needs.
Service Description:
- Becoming an AmeriCorps member offers many benefits during the service term such as:
- Student loan deferment
- Skills and training
- Living allowance
- Health benefit options
- Education Award upon completion of service to help pay for college, graduate school, or vocational training, or to repay student loans
- Career opportunities with leading employers from the private, public, and nonprofit sectors
Minimum Eligibility:
- Must be 18 and older
- US Citizen or lawful permanent resident
- Must be willing to participate in a background check and fingerprinting
